چکیده

Cell aggregates have been applied in various fields such as regenerative medicine and drug toxicity testing. We shown that H-(Lys-Pro)12-OH (KP24), a repeating sequence of lysine (Lys) proline (Pro), induces uniformly sized cell simply by its presence suspension. In this study, we considered peptide could be to three-dimensional culture substrate can induce uniform immobilizing it on the substrate. Therefore, mouse fibroblasts (L929) were seeded KP24-immobilized glass substrates behavior was observed. also human-derived cells, namely, human mesenchymal stem cells (hMSC), characterized their assemblies. Furthermore, KP24 chemically immobilized surface, which allowed us trace mechanism KP24–cell interaction. As analysis aggregation ability KP24, investigated whether interacts with surface without being incorporated into cell.

Evaluation of Cell Penetrating Peptide Delivery System on HPV16E7 Expression in Three Types of Cell Line

Background: The poor permeability of the plasma and nuclear membranes to DNA plasmids are two major barriers for the development of these therapeutic molecules. Therefore, success in gene therapy approaches depends on the development of efficient and safe non-viral delivery systems. Objectives: The aim of this study was to investigate the in vitro delivery of plasmid DNA encoding HPV16 E7 gene...

A highly efficient peptide substrate for EGFR activates the kinase by inducing aggregation.

Formation of an asymmetric dimer by the EGFR (epidermal growth factor receptor) kinase domains results in allosteric activation. Since this dimer does not readily form in solution, the EGFR kinase domain phosphorylates most peptide substrates with a relatively low catalytic efficiency. Peptide C is a synthetic peptide substrate of EGFR developed by others that is phosphorylated with a significa...

Laminin Peptide-Immobilized Hydrogels Modulate Valve Endothelial Cell Hemostatic Regulation

Valve endothelial cells (VEC) have unique phenotypic responses relative to other types of vascular endothelial cells and have highly sensitive hemostatic functions affected by changes in valve tissues. Furthermore, effects of environmental factors on VEC hemostatic function has not been characterized. This work used a poly(ethylene glycol) diacrylate (PEGDA) hydrogel platform to evaluate the ef...

Substrate modulus directs neural stem cell behavior.

Although biochemical signals that modulate stem cell self-renewal and differentiation were extensively studied, only recently were the mechanical properties of a stem cell's microenvironment shown to regulate its behavior. It would be desirable to have independent control over biochemical and mechanical cues, to analyze their relative and combined effects on stem-cell function. We developed a s...

substrate diffusion analysis in immobilized spherical cell-support aggregate by using of least square method

in this study, the substrate diffusion in an immobilized spherical cell-support aggregate is studied and effects of various parameters are investigated on substrates profile. analyses are performed by using of an analytical solution called the least square method (lsm) and results are compared with numerical solution. the effects of effective diffusion coefficient ( d e ), maximum specific grow...
